After a spring and summer of LOVING my Rimmel "Wake Me Up" foundation I thought it was time to move with the seasons and try a foundation with a slightly heavier coverage.
Now for the honest truth. I love make up....which is no surprise, but I'm not such a big fan of foundation shopping - it's a complete nightmare! Which brand to go for? Do you fall for the branding trap or hyped products? Are you going for a dewy or matte look, for full or light coverage, and then after all that, which shade to buy!? So being a Rimmel girl at heart, I played it safe and stayed with the same brand, but a different foundation from my regular "Wake Me Up". I went for Rimmel "Lasting Finish 25 Hour" foundation, and wasn't disappointed.
This is my new favourite. I even found myself last weekend reaching for it instead of my trusted Illamasqua Skin Base (that's saying something). It has a slightly heavier coverage than the "Wake Me Up", and a similar pleasant fragrance with a semi satin finish.
The claims of 25 hour coverage are somewhat exaggerated, but it's pretty good for a high street foundation. It blends well, leaves my skin feeling comfortable, and gives just the right amount of coverage for a daytime look.
Another plus of this high-street product is the price, The "Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour" comes in at £7.99, a bargain in my opinion.
